Job Summary

* You participate as an individual and a member of a team in providing counseling services, intervention and education related to the treatment process.

* You facilitate and monitor cognitive-behavioral therapy groups, psycho educational groups, effective individual and/or family counseling and other treatment modalities in accordance with specific program outlines.

* You generate and / or review and distribute client reports as required by Court System, Probation Officers, according to program guidelines.

* Licensed Social Service Clinicians are responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.

* Demonstrate competency to provide age appropriate care to adolescent patients (12-18 years of age), adult patients (18 and older)

Pinewood Springs is a 60 bed, 49,900 square foot Hospital serving both Adult and Adolescent patients. A part of Maury Regional Health, Pinewood Springs is located in Columbia, TN, between Nashville and Huntsville. Pinewood Springs will serve a region consisting of more than a quarter-million people in Southern Middle Tennessee.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

* Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited university.

Knowledge/Professional Licensure/Registration/Certifications:

* Current Tennessee Licensure for independent clinical practice (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT)

Experience:

* Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting. Prefer experience with case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.
