Exponent has approximately 800 consultants, including more than 500 that have earned a doctorate in their chosen field of specialization.

Exponent's Practice is currently hiring for a Principal to join our Vehicle Engineering consulting efforts.

Responsibilities for this position include:

- Developing and managing client relationships

- Conducting project and cost management on case work

- Overseeing inspections, testing, and engineering analyses of vehicles, accident sites, and other evidence

- Managing, mentoring, and providing consulting work for junior consulting staff

- Developing and growing the Vehicle Engineering Practice, with a focus on proactive work surrounding autonomous vehicles

Qualifications for this position include:

- M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related

- 10+ years work experience in vehicle accident reconstruction

- Ability to generate business and manage client relationships

- Prior testifying experience is ideal

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- This individual will interact with managers, engineers, non-technical personnel, and clients and must have the ability to present technical topics in a cogent and comprehensible manner
