Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the development and growth of the Global Borchers additives business by providing market applications data for specific market use value propositions. This position is located at the Borchers Headquarters in Westlake, OH, and will report directly to the Applications Development Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Including trade show and market facing product launch presentations
- Provide market application data for new product development projects
- Deep understanding of market requirements and degree of impact of various data sets
- Work closely with research group(s) to collectively produce new products with high market impact
- Adherence to and development of standard test methods for resin, coating, adhesive, sealant, printing, etc. performance criteria
- Provide input on technical and marketing communications to promote the growth of the coatings additive business
- Support the development of technical literature, sales tools, and training programs for new product launches
- Manage and adhere to stage gate process to ensure effective product development
- Collaborate with key beta customers to acquire market application intel and run key application field trials
- Commitment to EHS
Other Responsibilities:
- Provide support for technical questions/issues from internal and external customers regarding new product launch
- Author and present technical papers to groups upwards of 200+

Qualifications:
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in chemistry / engineering or related science field
- 3+ years of coatings industry experience preferred
- Position requires 30% travel to customer sites with salespeople and marketing (domestic & international travel)
