The Product Software team at Equinix builds next-generation software products and architecture for our Equinix software platform and services offerings. Weare looking for a Technical Project Manager to drive cross-functional deliverables within the Platform Engineering organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely delivery of platform services that enable best-in-class products.
 

Responsibilities

• Solves for the customer -understands the WHY and drives the conversation to focus on customer requirements 


• Ensures the delivery of committed features within the committed timeline and budget 


• Understands the technical architecture and data flows to identify dependencies and plans timelines accordingly 


• Defines repeatable, lightweight processes for rapid delivery of on-prem and cloud-based platform services  


• Creates effective communication channels across the Engineering, Product and IT organizations 


• Proactively identifies and mitigates project risks and escalates to leadership if required 


• Works closely with Product Management to ensure that engineering teams are aligned on priorities 


• Communicates status and highlights risks to the team and leadership 


• Is the driver for collaborative problem solving across the Product Engineering organization 


• Acts like an owner on behalf of the Equinix customer throughout the project lifecycle 

Qualifications

• BS in computer science or equivalent with 7+ years of experience in a software/cloud related function 


• 5 years of early career experience in a developer/test/solution architecture role preferred


• Experience working on SaaS/PaaS products with distributed, horizontally scaling architectures 


• Exposure to on-prem and cloud-based deployments  


• Experience working in the agile process 


• Experience with capacity planning and cost models for SaaS/PaaS applications 


• Excellent project management skills and the use of common project management tools 


• Ability to clearly document and communicate with engineering and business stakeholders 


• Experience managing large, cross-functional engineering projects
