POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Transporter is primarily responsible for the safe transport of all patients throughout the hospital and assists the nursing staff in performing complex lifts, transfers and safe positioning of patients under the supervision of the patient's registered nurse.

QUALIFICATIONS POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
LICENSURE:

* Must maintain current CPR certification.

EDUCATION:

* Must be a high school graduate.

EXPERIENCE:

* Previous experience as a nursing assistant preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

* Ability to work independently.

* Ability to communicate well orally and in writing.

* Ability to understand medical terminology.
