SCHEDULE: Full-time

MEDICAL CITY DENTON
FULL TIME
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM MONDAY - THURSDAY8:00 AM - 1:00 PM FRIDAY

Position Summary:
Independently manages the bariatric program growth and development. Assists with and facilitates patient progress throughout the bariatric pathway to include both the surgical pathway & medical weight management pathway; this includes providing the dietary appointments from bariatric patients, administrative and accreditation duties as they relate to the program, and service line growth.

Job Duties:

* Participates in hospital or departmental performance improvement activities, and seeks opportunities to improve department and inter-department processes.

* Works independently to provide support and growth of Bariatric Clinic.

* Serves as a resource to department staff, students, volunteers and other departments, and contributes to the teamwork essential to ensuring quality patient care.

* Assists with planning & implementation of informational seminars and support groups as needed.

* Participates in the departmental quality improvement process.

* Create agenda items for meetings and in-services.

* Effectively prioritizes work responsibilities and utilizes teamwork for efficient patient care delivery.

* Collaborates with Education Resource & Development to identify needs and plan education activities to enhance professional growth.

* Responsible for ensuring all required documentation is completed in a timely manner.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS License/certification/registration:

* Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration

* Must hold Texas License

Experience Required:

* Minimum of 2 years Bariatric program experience.

* Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet applications preferred.
