We are currently seeking a Edge Engineer-Remote to join our team in Palo Alto, California (US-CA), United States (US).

Edge Engineer will:

* Assess and validate emerging edge (sensor, IoT), analytic (AI/ML), data science, and UI/UX technologies for integration into the SMART Platform

* Bring new potential use cases to the SMART Platform by supporting rapid-prototype development and validating that proposed technical and functional requirements are met

* Supports the development of Technical Specifications to assist the SMART Platform development team in accelerating development and time to market

* Works closely with SMART Platform Product Management to ensure technical, functional and go-to-market requirements are aligned

* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

* Owns the development and maintenance of the SMART Platform Demo environments

* Participation in pre-sales activities as needed

Incoming Edge Engineer should possess:

* 15+ years of overall technology experience, with 7+ years of solution delivery and product management

Nice to have:

* Ability to evaluates data streams from disparate data streams and sources

* Ability to work with sensors data streams and identify key data events

* Ability to work in SQL environments for finding and analyzing data

* Experience with IP cameras and devices

* Experience with IP video surveillance systems

* Experience with video analytics software

* Experience working in Database and data formatting

* Proven success driving technology application/solution development

* Innovative leader with experience addressing technology trends and their practical use in driving business value

* Preference for those who have deep domain expertise in analytics, IoT/AI, data science and related technology disciplines

* Operated successfully in large-scale, highly complicated and global environments Japan experience is a plus

* Advanced technical degree preferred
