Position Overview
Directs corporate accounting for the companies of the Central West and leads transactional accounting shared business services based in Fayetteville, AR. This position reports to the West Division CFO with a dotted line reporting structure to the Central West Regional CFO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leads transactional accounting shared business services (A/P, Payroll, A/R including cash application, Material Billing) based in Fayetteville in support of the operating companies of the Central West Region.
Champions collaboration with the West Division’s other shared business services teams based in Northern Utah and Spokane. Leads division-wide A/P workstream team to set common goals and identify and implement best practices.
Oversees transactional accounting close processes and certain corporate accounting duties working closely with Central West’s regional controllers and other stakeholders.
Assists with budgets for administrative overhead and operating cash flow.
Ensures compliance with CRH America’s Materials and West Division policies and procedures and internal controls (SOX).
Performs / reviews balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations, etc. Manages maintenance of banking information working with CRH America’s Materials treasury department.
Partner with VP of Finance to maintain the GL structure in Viewpoint and Hyperion.
Works closely with Regional CFO to develop and implement cost control, cash flow, and process improvement initiatives across the region
Assist with extrernal/internal audits and other compliance audits (sales & use tax, etc.)
Coaches accounting staff.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Excellent communication (oral, written) and presentation skills

Preferences
Master’s degree in Accounting
CMA or CPA
5+ years of relevant experience
Additional Requirements
Travel approximately 10%
