The Senior Mazor Training Specialist is responsible for providing a standardized training experience & certification process for Mazor X Stealth Edition (MXSE) users by instructing and evaluating customers according to the core technical competencies essential for safe and effective use of MXSE technology.
In this field-based role, you would support and sometimes lead training programs designed to ensure clinical teams are equipped to successfully launch and maintain sustainable MXSE programs. You will validate the technical competence of all newly trained surgeons through standardized workflow protocol, live procedure observation, coaching and providing effective feedback. Partner with sales teams to identify opportunities to conduct refresher and advanced trainings for existing surgeon users to expand utilization and improve technical/clinical competence in Mazor and Medtronic Procedural Solutions. You will also partner with field sales leadership, Mazor Sales Training and Product Marketing to be the in-field expert for all new product/procedure launches.
This role is a remote, field-based position in the continental United States. To be considered, you must be open to at least 50% travel and live in close proximity to a major airport.
A Day in the Life
Possess knowledge in spine surgery, the Medtronic Core Spine product portfolio, surgical robotics and Medtronic Procedural Solutions; be able to articulate and demonstrate these concepts and procedures to reps and HCPs
Train surgeons and operating room staff on all aspects of the Mazor X Stealth Edition workflows according to identified core technical competencies.
Excel in providing meaningful coaching and feedback through effective communication and leadership
Provide technical assistance during initial MXSE case series.
Provide training and coaching for pre-surgical planning.
Support the field sales team by conducting regular training events to advance their product knowledge and selling skills.
Assist the capital sales team in demonstrating MXSE to surgeons, administrators and other key stakeholders
Conduct training sessions to individuals or groups to ensure all relevant clinical personnel are fully trained and competent in the use of Mazor X Stealth Edition
Align with Marketing on product launch and life cycle strategies and build and execute programs to support their objectives
Communicate frequently, reporting on case notes and product and clinical feedback regarding market account intelligence to relevant stakeholders
Travel up to 50%
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
These qualifications must be evident on your resume to be considered:
Bachelors' degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience in spine products, medical device sales or marketing, adult education, clinical education, sales training or surgical robotics, or Masters' degree and 5 years of experience
Nice to Have
Mazor, Medtronic Core Spine and Medtronic Procedural Solutions or other robotics platforms subject matter expertise
Medical device or clinical training experience
Ability to function within an executive business environment and understand the complex needs of the Operating Room environment
Experience in customer and peer training within a clinical environment and adherence to adult learning principles
