Job Description:

We are now looking for a Deep Learning Software Engineer to join a forward-looking R&D effort. Are you excited to supercharge the way people integrate intelligence into products and services? NVIDIA's technology is at the heart of this rapidly changing new world, powering everything from autonomous cars to voice-powered intelligent assistants.

Join our ambitious team that is looking beyond the current landscape of Deep Learning algorithms and tools and asking the fundamental question: "How should people build AI systems?" We are inventing the next generation of tools to enable non-experts to build amazing AI products and you can help us turn state-of-the-art AI technology into practical easy-to-use software. We are hiring engineers at all levels to be a part of this new and strategically important team!

What you will be doing:

  • Make modern AI algorithms accessible to a broader set of users by developing easy-to-use software for authoring and customizing sophisticated algorithms. Radically expand the reach of AI into new areas - healthcare, scientific research, government, finance, consumer products.

  • Collaborate with NVIDIA's research and product teams working in AI, Natural Language Processing, Speech Recognition, and High Performance Computing.

  • Architect and implement features across a C++ and Python backend with a modern front-end.

  • Partner with engineering teams across all of NVIDIA to ensure your software integrates seamlessly up and down the stack.

  • Get to know customers to understand their problems, then ensure we are building tools to help them succeed.

What we need to see:

  • You are graduating with your PhD or MS degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Math, or related subject area.

  • Passion for software engineering. Seeking both excellent C/C++ and full-stack development skills (Node, JavaScript, Go, Python, modern distributed architectures). This position is all about mixing software engineering with algorithm expertise - we want people who love to code, and who have built big, complex software systems in the past

  • Understanding of modern techniques in Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Statistical Signal Processing, or Numerical Optimization.

  • Strong computer science fundamentals - algorithms and data structures, computational complexity, parallel and distributed computing, system software.

  • Experience developing with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar tools is highly desired.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work in a dynamic and global team. Your history of mentoring other engineers and interns is a huge plus

  • A desire to constantly grow and learn new things. In this team you will constantly be exposed to new technologies and new problems. Your ability to assimilate new ideas and tackle tough problems as they arise will be the key to your success

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Demonstrate a track record of writing well-designed software to implement complex modern algorithms. We are impressed by meaningful contributions to shipping products or major open source projects in the field of AI, machine learning, or numerical computing. We are looking for people who are at home arguing the pros and cons of an API design and have a knack for picking up a new programming language to match the problem at hand.

NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of technology's most desirable employers. We have some of the most brilliant and talented people in the world working with us. Are you creative and autonomous? Does the idea of turning ground breaking research into a shipping product excite you? If so, we want to hear from you!

NVIDIA is committed to fostering a diverse work environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer. As we highly value diversity in our current and future employees, we do not discriminate (including in our hiring and promotion practices) on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, gender expression , sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, disability status or any other characteristic protected by law.
