We are looking for an Application Engineer to help validate NVIDIA Clara AGX product offerings and lead external adoption efforts . Our success has been based on laser-focused industry vertical business development, building a strong developer ecosystem and scaling out the business using a partner channel and creative marketing.

We need a passionate, hard-working and creative individual to help us pursue more of these opportunities in fields such as medical imaging, microscopy and genomics! This role requires becoming a trusted technical advisor and leader to our customers who believe that deep learning, data science, and artificial intelligence is a new computing revolution and has the potential to transform the entire healthcare domain.

An Application Engineer is the bridge of technical expertise between NVIDIA and our partners and customers. Your duties will vary from driving internal validation and benchmarking of our NVIDIA Clara AGX SDK reference applications, pipelines and toolkits to inventing proof-of-concept demonstrations driving customer adoptions. Dynamically engaging with internal developers, scientific researchers, data scientists, IT managers and senior leaders is an important part of the Application Engineering role, and will give you experience with a range of partners and concerns.

What you will be doing:


  • Partner with our engineering and development teams working on cutting edge NVIDIA Clara AGX technologies and drive our internal validation and benchmarking projects for our GPU accelerated medical instrument workflows enabled by Clara AGX SDK.


  • Partner with our business / account team working with customers to develop a keen understanding of their goals, strategies, and technical needs as well as help to define and deliver high-value solutions meeting these needs.


  • Staying up on the state of the art in the medical imaging instruments, and production Deep Learning and Machine Learning Ecosystem. You'll be called on to help architect and scale embedded GPU computing, and high-performance, distributed, AI deployments that are built on the latest NVIDIA GPU supercomputers.


  • Educate customers on new NVIDIA technologies and platforms, and their potential applications in medical imaging, medical devices, and clinical applications.


  • Document what you know and teach others. This can vary from building targeted training for partners, Solutions Architects and other Application Engineers, to writing whitepapers, blogs, and wiki articles, to simply working through hard problems with a customer on a whiteboard.


  • Be an industry leader with vision on integrating NVIDIA technology into AI, HPC, and embedded GPU architectures for advanced applications, such as medical imaging instruments, and AI-based analytics.


  • Strategically partner with lighthouse customers and industry-specific solution partners targeting our computing platform.


  • We make heavy use of conferencing tools, but some travel is required for this role. Be empowered to find the best way to get your job done and do what it takes to make our customers successful.


What we need to see:


  • MS or PhD in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Bioinformatics or equivalent experience.


  • 8+ years of work-related experience in software development, systems engineering with knowledge of parallel computing with GPUs.


  • Understanding of medical device design and implementation in a regulated industry.


  • Background working with modern application deployment practices including but not limited to Docker/Containers and Kubernetes.


  • Experience with modern Deep Learning software architecture and frameworks.


  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with management and engineering.


  • Experience in the healthcare industry or with customers/partners in the healthcare domain.


  • Strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives, priorities and implementations of new technology and products into very complex projects.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Ways to stand out from the crowd:


  • Experience with medical imaging instrument design, medical device regulatory compliance, and safety critical design processes.


  • Experience using GPGPU programming and design practices.


  • CUDA programming and optimization experience.


  • Experience with NVIDIA Clara


  • Background with NVIDIA Jetson products and embedded platforms


  • Deep Neural Network research and development experience with medical imaging data.


  • Published record of thought leadership in a technical area or industry segment.
