Transportation Analyst at Arcosa Inc in Steele, Alabama

Job Description:

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa company, is looking for a Transportation Analyst for our business office in Steele, AL. The Transportation Analyst is responsible for managing transportation processes (i.e. procurement, Freight Audit, Shipment Planning & Execution) to ensure we provide the best solution and meet customer requirements. This position will handle analysis and tasks driving continuous cost and service improvement by recommending and implementing stated improvements.

What you’ll do:

• Ensure the output of transportation management centralized processes meet solution design specifications and customer requirements
• Proactively monitor and manage key performance indicators
• Execute analysis and data preparation in support of operations activities
• Provide all support function activity including accuracy and timeliness of data processing, reporting, analysis, and all other customer specific inquiries
• Process and distribute weekly& monthly transportation/shipping customer metrics
• Ability to interact with vendors and customers in resolving problems and coordinating implementations
• Collect, analyze, and make recommendations using data about timeliness, cost, and types of goods, etc.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 4-5 years of equivalent work experience
• A minimum of (2) two years of transportation operations experience, including: carrier management, transportation planning, project management and logistics analysis is required for this position
• Intermediate - Advanced skills in MS Office Products (ie. Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint)
• AS-400 knowledge preferred
• Blueprint reading skills strongly preferred
• Dispatch transportation knowledge and skills a must
• Must be willing to work in a team environment
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
• Regular and predictable attendance is required
