Baker Electric Home Energy is hiring a Sales Manager in our extremely successful PV (roofing, solar, and storage) division. This is an opportunity to be part of something big! The ideal Sales Manager can show:

EDUCATION, SKILL, EXPERIENCE:  


  • 3+ years of sales management/coaching/training experience

  • 3+ years of direct sales experience within the solar industry prior to management and/or training exposure is required - want to show the team you've done the job!

  • Experience in the solar industry is preferred, but may consider related residential B2C industry

  • Extensive knowledge of customer base

  • Previous experience in the sale of products and services to the residential marketplace, including product knowledge, sales processes, stages, CRM systems and applications required.

  • Experience managing and supervising a sales team and interfacing with marketing/lead-generation resources - this person will be managing a team of 14 people

  • Experience executing plans through both direct staff and inter-company departments

  • The ideal candidate will have proven expertise developing strong sales results, building strong teams that are self-motivated and self-actualizing.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

WHAT YOU WILL DO:   

General


  • Proactively monitor activities of individual sales team

  • members, ensuring that quality and quantity of sales efforts meet company expectations; identify

  • deficiencies in sales skills and work to improve individual capabilities through coaching, development

  • and training.

  • Maintain a strong, positive, driven, and professional culture amongst the sales team that both develops / protects the brand and builds a base for success within the company.

  • Manage a team of sales professionals

  • Measure and manage all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all positions. This includes close rates, number of cancellations / unqualified, referrals generated by salespeople, and monthly quota achievement.

  • Identify and manage all marginal performers while continue to mentor and motivate top performers.

  • Maintain a weekly sales training/role-play/practice session, utilizing Baker Electric-approved curricula.

  • Work directly in the field with sales and operations staff to coach, train, and motivate your staff.

  • Conduct win / loss / postpone debriefings for all salespeople.

  • Continually seek to upgrade the sales team through recruitment of persons with those qualities identified as potential high performers.

  • Actively assist team members to win business – closing opportunities, problem customers, VIP customers and use as coaching opportunities

  • Utilize suppliers, Project Management, and other technical resources for improving sales team product knowledge, knowledge of installation processes, and electrical standards.

Sales Operations and Administration 


  • Understand and work with the sales administration and operational functions to recommend and implement ways to streamline the sales processes and systems; ensure application of sales techniques are in alignment with organizational objectives and values.

  • Actively develop processes within the team that will increase close rates, referral rates, positive reviews, and the self-generation of leads. Monitor, manage and change these processes to maximize success.

  • Work with the operations team to ensure sold jobs can be installed and that the customer experience is always five

  • Seek methods and processes to eliminate demands on sales representatives’ time that do not directly help to drive revenue, remaining mindful of efficiency expectations for Project Management.

  • Research and create processes for ongoing intelligence gathering of competitors, preparing quarterly reporting of same.

  • Review monthly with each sales representative their sales pipeline; review monthly sales results and key performance measurements.

  • Maintain and improve upon monthly on hold / cancelled projects to less than 2% of all projects submitted

Managerial Leadership, Support and Collaboration 


  • In collaboration with other and mid-level Managers, provide leadership and support to all functional departments within the organization,

  • Ensuring company objectives are communicated accurately and effectively and implemented according to strategic and tactical plans.

  • Analyze and report key metrics to management in an organized fashion and on a timely basis – then use this analysis to make suggestions on business processes.




Salary:

$162,500.00
