HPC Software Product Manager - System Management

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced product manager for HPE’s system management software product for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems.  You will be the subject matter expert for software tools that enable system administrators to manage supercomputing-scale clustered topologies and fabric.

Designs, plans, develops and manages a product or portfolio of products throughout the solution portfolio lifecycle:  from new product definition or enhancements to existing products; planning, design, forecasting, and production; to end of life.

How you'll make your mark:

• You will be responsible for product planning and management through product lifecycle


• You will gather and prioritize product and customer requirements


• You will define product direction and product roadmap


• You will work with pricing and financial analysis


• You will provide competitive analysis of system management tools within HPC and other markets and industries


• You will work collaboratively with engineering, sales, product marketing and services to develop and execute on product roadmaps and business plans


• You will develop product content for presentations and marketing purposes


• You will enable and train the sales force by clearly articulating product strategy, competitive positioning and long term product and solutions value 


• You will deliver customer briefings


• You will influence cross-functional teams with the goal to drive product content and schedule while optimizing revenue and market impact

About you:

• You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study. MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering preferred


• You have 8+ years of work experience in related field


• You have technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry


• You have expert team skills and ability to cross functionally drive/influence work through others, ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve results for complex, ambiguous project


• You have expert skills in cost efficient solution building, financial performance metric creation and analysis


• You have expert business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection


• You have technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry and ability to provide product specific technical training to the team
