Amerisure is currently recruiting for a Risk Management/Loss Control Manager to join our team in Dallas, TX. This role will be a promotional opportunity for our internal talent.

Job Summary

Partner with Core Service Center (CSC) management team to build agency relationships and execute operational plans. Lead risk management operations in assigned area to achieve operational and departmental performance objectives. Direct and manage a staff of commercial, middle market field risk management employees.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.


  • Advance and support the Partners for Success strategy by enhancing the relationship between our agencies, their clients, and Amerisure.


  • Identify, develop and deliver customized, innovative and creative risk management services and solutions that benefit agencies and create efficiency and profitability for Amerisure.


  • Develop and implement service/loss ratio improvement plans by agency/account to ensure achievement of assigned CSC loss ratios.


  • Collaborate with CSC management team to develop plans and address issues to ensure alignment with the strategic objectives of the organization and the business plans of the CSC.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree.


  • 7 years of safety, risk management or engineering experience in the commercial insurance industry.


  • 3 years of experience in a commercial insurance risk management leadership role preferred.


  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Rick Management (ARM), and/or Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) designations preferred.


  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.


  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department and across the organization.


  • Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.


  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills.


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.


  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.


  • Ability to travel daily within assigned region, which includes driving between local and long distance locations.


  • Ability to travel overnight up to 15%.
