Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Research Associate contributes to the implementation of Research Institute research projects, contracts and grants. The Research Associate works independently, with guidance, and collaboratively to develop and implement activities in the following areas: research, evaluation (emphasis on quantitative data collection and analysis), proposal development and writing, report writing, meeting development and implementation, and technical assistance. Other responsibilities include supporting local program implementation, serving as liaison and Research Institute representative at meetings, and facilitation. The Research Associate position requires a strong understanding of the public health field; excellent research, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills; as well as the exercise of discretion, independent judgment, and diplomacy.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Three years experience working on public health-related and/or community-based issues
Experience and strong interest in providing technical assistance to community-based efforts
Publication track record and/or experience with grant development preferred
Experience and proficiency in applications such as SPSS/STATA/SAS highly preferred

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Masters in Public Health or another relevant professional field
PhD in Public Health or another relevant scientific discipline preferred
