The Johns Hopkins Hopsital Weinberg 5D is a 15-bed intermediate care unit. On this unit you will care for patients with hematological malignancies who are receiving bone marrow transplants. Our hematologic malignancy and hematology patients have access to some of the most innovative and advanced therapies in the world. Because Kimmel Cancer Center research scientists and clinicians closely work together, new drugs and treatments developed in the research laboratory are quickly transferred to the clinical setting, offering patients improved therapeutic options and the chance to participate in innovative clinical trials.

The Lead Clinical Nurse provides guidance and direction to staff and acts in the absence of the Assistant Nurse Manager/Nurse Manager to oversee a clinical team during care delivery and unit operations.

Shifts: Nightshift; weekend work required

Qualifications:

* BSN/MSN from an accredited nursing program Required.

* Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required

* BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted

* The ideal candidate has At least 3 years of acute care RN work experience

* Ability to lead others, assist in development & implementation of procedures for the unit, use principles of conflict resolution, recommend resource utilization, and implement performance management of staff.

* RN work experience in the cardiac surgery specialty is preferred.
