Overview:

The Registered Nurse in Women's and Children's Services uses the nursing process to coordinate and provide care to patients and their families during the childbearing process or during times of illness of a family member. As such, the RN provides holistic care to the entire family unit during times of transition and stress as well as providing high-acuity nursing in multiple ages and stages (neonate through childbearing years). Nurses working in W&C Services are cross-trained to at least 2 of 5 clinical areas (Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, Nursery, Intensive Care Nursery, and Pediatrics).

Qualifications:

* Experience: Must have a minimum of one year Labor & Birth experience.

* Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school

* Preferred Education: BSN

* License: Current RN license in our state

* Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
