POSITION DESCRIPTION
Functions as a technical expert and role model in a leadership role as a member of a multidisciplinary team; providing direct training and oversight to: surgical technologists, support technicians, instrument technicians, case-cart/sterile core technicians, students, and other support staff as needed. During the nurse residency program assists in the technical components of the curriculum. Knowledge of a wide variety of technical skills and regulatory standards involving worker safety, environmental services, sterile processing and surgery is required.POSITION REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED: 1. Graduate of an accredited technical/vocational school 2. Certified Surgical Technologist with at least four (4) years of Operating Room Experience 3. Current BLS Card (CPR) PREFERRED: 1. Associate Degree in health related field or Bachelor s degree in health-related field of study 2. Central Sterile Certification with Two (2) years of experience in Sterile processing
