DESCRIPTION

UCSB Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE) (formerly known as Extension) at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary, part-time Instructor Assistants to assist with teaching on-site courses for PaCE Programs.

* Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Arts & Humanities:

* Photography

* Medical Humanities

* Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)

* Environmental and Climate Advocacy, Leadership and Activism

* English as Second Language (ESL)

Science & Engineering:

* Programming

* Web Development

* Infrared

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate must have a minimum of one quarter of experience in assisting with instruction delivery that may include reviewing material with students, helping instructor with record keeping, helping with preparing for lessons, or 6 months of professional experience in a relevant field, or must have completed a formal course in a relevant professional field.

Preference will be given to applicants with a bachelor s degree in a related professional field.

The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service.
