What You\'ll Do:

The Registered Nurse in Outpatient is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. He/ she is responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care of critically ill patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards, collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes, serving as a resource when directed, utilizing knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity into the provision of care, and contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrates positive patient care outcomes.

1. Demonstrates ability to work under stressful situations.

2. Observes professional ethics in maintaining confidential information

3. Follows and enforces accepted safety practices for patients and Hillcrest Hospital South.

4. Reports hazards and initiates appropriate action

5. Participates in safety instructional programs.

6. Completes documentation and charges in an accurate, timely, and legible manner.

7. Prepares and provides for departmental needs within budget guidelines.

8. Participates in the recruitment and retention programs for the unit.

9. Monitors and evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of new employees within the introductory period.

10. Demonstrates appropriate assessment skills including prioritizing and delegation of patient care activities.

11. Identifies emergency situations and institutes correction actions in a calm and efficient manner.

3 12 hour shifts 0700-1930 Wednesday - Friday
