Horizon Industries Limited (HIL) is a dynamic IT and Management Consulting firm based in the Washington, DC area. We are currently seeking a Team Lead Firewall Administrator for a full-time position, remotely supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
Job Description:
The JETS Program provides the full range of IT services, technical and management expertise that support applications, software, hardware, infrastructure, and systems, across the DLA IT Enterprise. Support is provided for information technology solutions, technical support, maintenance, and sustainment; operations support; application development, maintenance and technical support; and lifecycle management. Additionally, the program also supports administrative program management support for IT program offices and DLA Information Operations (J6) Office. The program provides support technology services across the DLA Information Operations Enterprise, the DLA Program Executive Offices (PEO), and all other technology services currently supported through DLA Contracting Services Office (DCSO) acquisitions.

The scope of this project is to provide the full range of IT services, technical and management expertise that support applications, software, hardware, infrastructure, and systems, across the DLA Enterprise LAN. Support will be provided for information technology solutions, technical support, maintenance and sustainment; operations support; maintenance and technical support; and lifecycle management. The hardware components of a LAN consist of but are not limited to: Switches within local LAN segments, Firewall Appliances, Wireless Controllers, Wireless Access Points, media converters, and transceivers, etc. which are used to connect hardware like computers and printers to routers, adapters, repeaters, wireless access points, antennas, servers and the Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) that support these components.

Duties of a Team Leader Firewall Administrator may include:

- Provide overall supervision for vendor employees to include, but not limited to, planning and managing the project professionally, ensuring that work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources; ensuring that accurate and timely reports are provided
- Resolve problems, allocate resources, manage personnel, and monitor operation performance taking direction from the government to ensure complete satisfaction
- Work under general supervision, developing the requirements of a product from inception to conclusion.
- Develop required specifications for simple to moderately complex problem
- Coordinate with the Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters
- On occasion, short duration (1-5 days) site visits may be required as authorized by the Government.

Required Skills / Experience:
- Five (5) years relevant experience to include:
- Working knowledge of Firewall
- Working knowledge and understanding of industry standard network environments to include firewall and security hardware/software
- Working knowledge of Information Assurance Best Practices
- In depth knowledge of LAN and WAN operations
- Knowledge of industry standard Incident Ticket Tracking systems for inputting incident tickets and creating work orders
- Comprehensive knowledge of DOD and DLA security regulations, guidelines and policies, to include, but not limited to, IA standards
- Working knowledge of the installation, configuration and day-to-day sustainment of network equipment, to include but not limited to: firewalls and other network appliances
