Job Summary:This position is responsible for analyzing, understanding and translating financial business needs into business/technical requirements with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in requirements gathering , document reviews and testing to ensure finance needs are met
- Conducts detailed research
- Act as the primary / key representative for Finance on Workgroups and Projects.
- Be able to understand and communicate the purpose and objective of the project/task
- Ensure that the correct Finance individuals/teams (ex. FP&A, Disbursements, Tax, Treasury) are aware and involved
- Have the right level of financial acumen to understand the financial impact to Horizon
- Understand the vendor integrations to Workday (ex Decare, Prime, Scion, etc) and how G/L code is assigned
- Understand UPS G/L Common module and how ledger coding is assigned to UPS paid claims and capitation
- Update and maintain common module tables as needed to ensure proper GL coding
- Share knowledge and work with external teams as needed
- Assist to resolve any issues related to GL code assignment and UPS to GL file
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 4-6 years of related IT/Financial work experience preferably in the health insurance industry
- Has played a key role in major company initiatives and demonstrated some leadership experience
Knowledge:
- Requires knowledge of system development life cycle and implementation methodologies
- Demonstrates proficiency in structured query languages or analysis techniques
- Demonstrates ability to apply structure to a loosely defined problem
- Demonstrates understanding of core business functions
Skills:
- Requires ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Requires strong PC skills
- Requires excellent organizational skills
- Prefer working knowledge of programming, development, and technical architecture
