Job Description:

FTI is seeking an experienced individual to support its Business Operations. This is an opportunity to develop and grow a new team within the the financial group of the organization. The successful candidate will report to the Finance Director with assigned duties and responsibilities including carrying out core financial planning and analysis for FTI's business operation. The successful candidate will work closely with Business Unit Leads & Program Managers to maintain monthly, quarterly & yearly reporting for their program's financials and lead a team of financial analysts.
- Actively lead, coach, and develop direct reports.
- Thorough understanding of budget, forecast expenditures, monitor actuals, and report outcome data for all task orders (i.e. Estimates to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC) analysis).
- Improve business units and programs financial status by gathering and analyzing financial data/results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; and making recommendations to operation leadership.
- Analyze and package financial data for accurate and compliant internal and external reporting requirements/deliverables (e.g. Monthly Cost Status Reports, quarterly Program Management Reviews, Funding/Expenditure Reports)
- Ability to operate independently as well as effectively establish solid working relationships with management and functional departments.
- Assist Project Directors and Project Managers in projecting future requirements, planning staffing requirements.
- Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Maintain good internal controls and policies based on contract requirements, accounting/financial standards with regards to project accounting
- Continuous drive for improvement of forecasting accuracy.
- Work closely with cross functional teams and departments to develop close working relationships that foster the sharing of best practices to maintain governance/compliance
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, preferably with a mid to large company that has gone through significant growth.
- Experience in the Government sector with P&L responsibility in dynamic forecasting environments and FAR/DFAR compliance required.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly including advanced Excel functions; experience with financial modeling using Excel models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and deadline-oriented environment..
