Summary:
We are looking for a Research Analyst to join our team serving PR and communications marketing clients through the Edelman Trust Management suite. This person should have experience and proficiency with quantitative analysis of primary survey data. She/he should have strong analytical skills and be able to share actionable insights of statistical analyses to non-technical audiences. Strong time management, communication skills, analytical reasoning, understanding of statistical foundations of survey research, and a high attention to detail is expected and critical for success in this role. 


Responsibilities:


  • Work on analytical deliverables (tables, predictive analyses, reports) for multi-market tracking study product offering across multiple data streams

  • Manage survey data in statistical software, Excel, and other database platforms

  • Share results and findings in Excel tables, Powerpoint presentations, written summary reports, and/or interactive online dashboards

  • Create crosstabs, summary tables, and variable sets on proprietary online data platform

  • Work with cross-functional teams to manage requests, collaborate on client deliverables, identify data trends, and publish reports

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, social science (economics, psychological, sociology, political science), data science, statistics, and/or other related fields

  • 2 years of experience in quantitative analyses of survey data in market research or social science settings

  • Experience using script-based analytical software (R, Python, SPSS), and ideally Stata

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Powerpoint

  • Experience using XML/CSS survey programming platforms (like Decipher, Confirmit, Qualtrics)

  • Knowledge of survey sampling and statistical concepts related to survey research

  • Experience manipulating data files, variables, and structures

  • Ability to think about and solve problems from a statistical and quantitative perspective
