The Securities Lending & Short-Term Product Support Associate Manager is responsible for direct supervision of a team while providing operational, research, and analytical support to the Sec Lending and Short-Term Money Markets investment desks within PGIM Fixed Income. This individual is responsible for increasing organizational capabilities through efficiencies and scale. The Associate Manager is expected to anticipate issues that may introduce risk, cause errors and adversely affect the performance of our clients and funds. They will also provide support to the team in solving problems and incorporating new processes to mitigate risk. Coaching, developing and leading by example will be some of the expectations of this individual with respect to talent management. The operational functions supported by the team include daily trade settlement and issues resolution, fails management, Cash and Position Reconciliation, Collateralization, Bank and Broker billing.
Job responsibilities may include:
Project Management and developing Operational workflows to manage business initiatives
Daily managerial oversight of operational functions, conducting review of packages and providing sign off
Proactively seeking ways to improve current processes by leveraging the tools available to identify inefficiencies
Cultivating both internal and external relationships to ensure proper service levels are achieved for product and function supported
Keeping abreast of industry initiatives and market trends that can impact our business model and/or offer opportunities to improve our processes
Serving as primary liaison between the portfolio management and operations teams
Gathering and/or analyzing key metrics with regards to activity
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience supporting fixed income products or relevant experience
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Strong leadership skills
Strong desire to learn and develop others
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
Ability to oversee both production and project deliverables
Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
Self-motivated & able to work within a team environment
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office & business applications
Solid understanding of business risk & operational controls
Enjoys a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
