Job Description

The Global Program Manager  will be based in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.  The Global Program Manager will be responsible for effectively managing large tooling/molding/automaton programs and customer accounts of varying complexity.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Assist customers in development and execution of development strategy within our plastics segment while collaborating with other segments


• Work with customer and assigned Flex tooling and molding sites to develop schedule, milestones, risk management plan, resource plan etc to achieve customer needs and established goals


• Support development of a fully executable implementation plan which adheres to schedule and budget to differentiate Flex from the competition


• Create and lead a strategic team and ensure accountability across collaborative teams, and then drive the team to meet customer needs


• Closely coordinate activities between customer and different Flex sites to meet customer and program requirements


• Monitoring key milestones ensuring adherence to identified timelines and deliverables of key objectives for specific activities.


• Ensure alignment of defined strategies between the Flex manufacturing sites


• Manage customer relationship on a Global basis and is the Customer single point of Contact, for all program and operational performance issues escalated beyond site management


• Coordinate / manage customer project meetings, steering committee meetings and business reviews on a regular basis


• Ensure high-quality customer and internal stakeholder communications and satisfaction


• Be responsible for customer satisfaction reviews and associated corrective actions


• Provide support to all production sites, monitor costs and provide subject matter expertise


• Make Senior and Executive Leadership Teams aware of and propose solutions to unanticipated or potential issues / concerns as they are known

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

• 7+ years of progressive experience in injection mold tooling and molding


• 3+ years of experience managing projects


• Experience developing and maintain client executive relationships


• Experience developing client centric competitively differentiated value propositions

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

• Experience leading complex medical device and consumer products throughout its entire product lifecycle


• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline


• A thorough understanding of design controls and process validation relating to medical device regulations and the principles of the EU Medical Device Directive (93/42/EEC), the FDA GMP, the ISO-13485
