Job Description:

Task Description: Environmental Health and Safety

Environmental health and safety managers inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards. Their chief goal is to protect the employees, customers and the environment. They identify potentially hazardous biological, chemical and radiological materials and collect samples of them for analysis. They recommend changes to protect workers, and educate employees on how to prevent health problems through the use of safety training programs. They also investigate accidents to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future.

Task Requirements:


  • Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.

  • Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.

  • Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.

  • Implement company ESH Standard Practices to align with OSHA, EPA, TECQ and other government agency regulations.

  • Hold Monthly Safety meetings and submit meeting minutes.

  • Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.

  • Monitors compliance with safety procedures.

  • Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.

  • Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.

  • Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Master’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required;

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or five years of related experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.

  • Attended Hazardous Substance Incident Response Management (HSIRM).

  • Attended Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).

  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.

  • A current U.S. passport, accept period time away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.

  • Ability to obtain CBP Secret clearance

Employment is contingent on a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
