Fill Supervisor at Streck in La Vista, Nebraska

Job Description:

Streck is recruiting for a Fill Supervisor in the Fill area. This position is responsible for supervising the work of a Fill department team who is inspecting, filling, capping and labeling final products. Primary duties include working in collaboration with other departments to schedule/coordinate daily filling activities, reviewing production records to maintain quality standards according to applicable regulations, maintaining commodity inventory, implementing new high speed automated fill machines, proactively participating in process improvement activities and review/trend overall equipment efficiency. This position is also responsible for hiring, training, and evaluating all Fill personnel, serving as a backup for other Fill Supervisor, ensuring all tasks are performed according to approved standard operating procedures, and performing other duties as assigned by manager.

The primary responsibilities include:

• Supervise automated and manual filling and labeling activities by ensuring tasks are completed according to the schedule and following approved standard operating procedures.
• Assist team members by learning and being capable of performing all job tasks associated with filling and labeling.
• Assist in the scheduling and planning of department functions including fill schedule, cap torque operations, labeling, product improvement projects, and employee development meetings. Manage appropriate accommodations for vacations, holidays, and PTO leave in an effort to control overtime expenditure.
• Knowledgeable of the overall fill set up process including verifying fill volumes, label placement, and torque specifications.
• Insure proper documentation is prepared in advance of filling and labeling operations and maintain control of documents for in-process products.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, business, distribution, engineering, logistics, or related field of study or Associate's degree with applicable experience.
• Two to three years' experience in an ISO/FDA environment with demonstrated leadership experience preferred.
• Must be dependable, well organized, and be able to communicate effectively and efficiently, both orally and in writing.
