The senior director of Strategy & Technology Communications, is looking for an energetic and skilled communicator to support Cognizant’s Strategic Partnership, IT and Security strategies and priorities. This person will facilitate connections with a variety of stakeholders across multiple channels including the written word, social media, video, graphics, global virtual meetings, mobile and more. Focus areas include written and visual content development, process management, writing and editing—to name a few.
The manager – Global Communications, will be a member of the Global Internal Communications team working closely with communications professionals across Strategy & Technology and Cognizant. The successful candidate will leverage the latest applications and technology to craft, socialize and amplify messaging and thought leadership to our global associates as well as targeted external stakeholders. This person will partner with the Strategy & Technology communications teams to execute against our goals and vision, and will collaborate across other functions within the Marketing team as well around the globe. The ability to strategically execute with excellence, self-manage across multiple projects, deliver on tight deadlines and work occasional flex hours is a must.
What you will do
Plan, guide and execute against strategic and creative communication campaigns and messaging, targeted by audience
Collaborate with and guide stakeholders and subject matter experts to frame and craft content
Identify and develop message vehicles for multiple platforms including email, video, social channels and more
Manage the review and approval process as appropriate
Self-manage to deadlines and deliverables with input from business and communications leadership
Lend strategic vision and executional support across Strategy & Technology communications teams
Bring a high level of consistency and quality control across teams and messages
Identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiencies
Promote a technology-forward approach to execution by identifying and socializing emerging new platforms and vehicles
Manage processes and programs with rigor, consistency and thorough attention to detail
Understand and embrace brand and style guides
View deliverables through a lens of digital delivery and innovation
Understand and encourage influence from external best practices in digital media, social media and more
Apply a lens of continuous improvement to all programs and processes
Manage multiple projects and deliverables including:
Intranet content curation, editorial process and publication
Internal social media presence
Video messaging program management
Town hall prep, execution and wrap
Ad hoc projects as needed
Be part of maintaining a culture where everyone thrives, with an emphasis on encouraging diversity of thought
What you will bring
A minimum of six years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, advertising and/or marketing
Flexibility in the face of evolving priorities, multiple deadlines and emerging challenges
Advanced proficiency in writing English-language communications, with knowledge of AP style
Experience with social media
Passion for new and emerging communications technologies and practices
Demonstrated creative thinking and solutioning
The ability to deliver on tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
Passion for the power of communications
Bachelor's Degree (Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism or Marketing degree preferred).
