Our Opening

Pacific Power's Medford headquarters has an opening for a journeyman lineman. The successful candidate will install, maintain and repair all transmission and distribution electrical systems and associated equipment, both overhead and underground, while utilizing line trucks, aerial boom, lifts and wire pulling equipment.

Immediate opening for Journeyman Lineman with an hourly wage rate of $51.41. In addition to a competitive hourly wage, this position offers enhanced extension of workday premiums, enriched Saturday and Sunday pay premiums, 20% standby pay premium, tool allowance and comprehensive group health benefits and 401(k) matching.

Requirements

• Journeyman Lineman certification
• Must possess or be able to complete formal hot stick training and experience
• Must possess or be able to obtain, a Class A Commercial Driver's License
• Required to pass a post-offer pre-placement physical capacity screening, conducted by a licensed physical therapist, to assure the candidate meets the physical demands of the job. The screening, which is at the company's expense, will only assess the identified physical demands of the job.
• High school diploma or high school equivalency required

Physical Demands

Job duties of the Journeyman Lineman require sustained, awkward positions/postures including bending and twisting at the waist and neck; reaching forward, to the side, across the body and overhead. Lifting requirements in excess of 75 lbs. and pushing and pulling in excess of 100 lbs. is required. Forceful grip and pinch; manipulation of small objects; balancing on one or both legs during dynamic activities; manipulation of large objects during activities requiring balance and sustained awkward postures is required.
