Job Description:

Arcadis is seeking a dedicated Field Technician to join the Arcadis Field Services (AFS) team in our Wexford, PA office. This position will assist in a portfolio of sites with active operations and maintenance of soil and groundwater remediation systems (bioreactors, groundwater extraction/injection, soil vapor extraction, and product recovery), groundwater monitoring and sampling and subcontractor oversight. The ideal candidate will have remediation system operations and maintenance experience and an aptitude for mechanical and electrical problem solving. Other field work responsibilities can be learned on the job through training with experienced staff.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Soil, soil vapor, surface water, and/or groundwater sampling
  • Simple data collection, observations, measurements, and drawings
  • Remedial construction and site cleanup labor
  • Hazardous waste site operations
  • Storm water compliance construction, maintenance, and/or monitoring
  • Soil and groundwater treatment system operations, maintenance, and monitoring (OMM)
  • Facility compliance inspections and monitoring
  • Solving practical problems encountered in applicable field
  • Oversee subcontractors to perform selected operation, maintenance/repair of systems, preventative maintenance, and monitoring
  • Wetland Delineations

Additional key qualities:


  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
  • Ability to accurately document work activities (i.e., detailed field notes)
  • Able to be part of a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) Program
  • Physical requirement: ability to lift 50 pounds in weight
  • Experience with digital data collection
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in operation, maintenance, and monitoring of groundwater remediation systems

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years operations and maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Associates degree or higher
  • ARC Flash NFPA 70 Training
  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training
  • Confined Space Entry training
  • DOT HazMat Shipping training
  • 30 Hour Construction Safety training
