We have a newly created opening for an experienced Network Engineer in the heart of Nebraska for a solid, well-established company who are growing. In this role, you will be responsible for the connectivity and stable operation of our IT systems. We offer great benefits and a salary of $70k to $90k with opportunities to work partially remote!
Responsibilities:
Ensures our LAN and WAN are stable and operational.
Design and implement strategic plans to ensure network capacity meets existing and future requirements.
Support asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory, life cycle management and related documentation.
Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of in-house and remote hardware and software across the organization's network.
Conduct research and make recommendations on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
Assess, approve, and administer all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
Manage optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, ASAs and UPSs.
Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, ASAs, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.
Test server performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure.
Maintain a complete Network test lab at our headquarters to test changes and hardware, prior to implementation on our production network.
Requirements:
3 years of networking experience
2 years of Cisco experience, CCNA or CCNP
Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware
VOIP support is highly preferred
Experience with Windows servers and Active Directory preferred
