Job Responsibilities

As aProduct ValidationEngineerfor Augusta Works, located in Augusta GA, you will plan and coordinate testing and analysis work for design projects; which vary in complexity from component only to full systems of moderate scope. In addition, you will:

• Operate in a team environment within PV&V (Product Verification and Validation) and the design community
• Understand and communicate critical product design changes with possible impact on tractor performance or reliability in global applications
• Analyze assignments and determine testing specifications which must be completed for product validation
• Assign, organize, and review work done by PV&V engineers, Lab Technicians, and Mechanics
• Provide technical support to marketing, product engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply management functional areas

What Skills You Need

• 3 or more years of experience with heavy duty off-road vehicles, agricultural vehicles, or their attachments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems
• 1 or more years of project management experience (planning and execution)
• General experience with data acquisition instrumentation (e.g. thermocouples, strain gauges, pressure sensors, etc.)

What Makes You Stand Out

• Knowledge of John Deere PV&V systems (V2Net, EETs, NCCA, etc.)
• Ability to interpret, analyze, and present technical information using practical judgment
• Experience with reliability processes such as Non-Repairable Systems Analysis, Accelerated Life Testing, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Systems Reliability Analysis, Design of Experiments, and Design for Six Sigma techniques
• Demonstrated understanding of product reliability goals, reliability growth, and reliability prediction
• Knowledge of Compact Utility Tractors and applications

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Reliability, Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering
