The Opportunity

The HR Generalist III position in Clinton, MA is critical in providing HR business partner support in our Healthcare Division. This role, along with other Clinton HR team members, supports approximately 700 employees in our Clinton medical device manufacturing location providing advice and support for talent acquisition, employee relations, training, and leadership development.  In this role, you will deliver commitments by bridging functional and operational needs at the site as well as partnering with the cross-functional HR community.

The Work:  Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Support Jabil’s operating model by providing business partnership to site employees and functional leaders.


  • Actively contribute as the "go to" Human Resources expert at the site providing guidance and solution support related to people considerations and organizational effectiveness.


  • Effectively support project work for HR integration including managing issues, communication, policies, and processes.


  • Project Management – Participate in team projects that address strategic initiatives as directed by HR Leadership.


  • Synthesize and present HR reports and recommendations.  Identify and quantify major areas of HR risk and opportunities, e.g. labor expenses, severance, benefits, employee relation issues and culture, change management, HR policies, HR processes, and communication.


  • Participate and provide input to develop change management and communications.


  • Be an integral member of the HR team on cross-functional teams and inter-dependencies with Healthcare Leadership, Legal, Finance, and other teams.


  • Employee relations – Responsible for communication and interpretation of HR policies and procedures. Coaches/consults with managers and employees on issues including performance, terminations, sexual harassment, discrimination, etc. Coordinates all employee activities/programs.  Interprets and complies with all state and federal laws.


  • Compensation – Monitor and approve applicable salary increases; check to see that they are within guidelines.


  • Recruitment/Selection – Partner with Talent Acquisition team for sourcing and evaluation.


  • Performance Management - Partner with leadership in support of managing performance to achieve business goals.


  • Track key people metrics across Sectors and recommend actions for continuous improvement.


Basic Qualifications


  • BS degree, plus 3-5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner role within a matrix environment or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience


  • At least 3 years of experience in employee relations, with emphasis on employee and/or labor relations and human resources policy development


  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage moderately complex projects to successful completion without much guidance


  • Demonstrated ability to develop credibility and rapport in order to influence at all levels of the organization


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in FDA regulated manufacturing


  • Human Resources Management Certificate or PHR/SPHR certification


  • Good financial acumen – understanding how the business makes money and how to drive results through people strategy


  • Business Acumen – quick understanding of the business that you support and how HR can impact


  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; delivers clear, concise, and influential messages
