Our Process Architecture Department is seeking a team member who possesses diverse talents that enables creative thinking and is committed to innovative solutions. The Business Process Architect delivers simplified, integrated, streamlined methods for directing various work activities at INL. You will apply standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to further develop your expertise and solve cross-organizational integration issues. This position entails developing flow diagrams, working with SMEs and end-users to identify opportunities to integrate related processes, and streamlining and simplifying the process content. You will exercise judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions to solving problems of moderate scope and complexity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Facilitates meetings with relevant SMEs, stakeholders, and end-users to solicit their insight, ideas, and perspectives.

* Evaluates in-field observations of work execution to better understand the challenges and identify opportunities for improvements to the processes.

* Proposes streamlined, integrated, simplified processes using approved methodologies.

* Values stakeholder engagement and relationship management to develop and test automation solutions to optimize processes for the process owners.

* Supports and implements process-related governance, standards, and methodologies.

* Develops/enhances R2A2s for roles associated with process documents.

* Works under general supervision of Process Architecture management.

* Interacts with multiple contacts throughout the laboratory.

* Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific work assignments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree and 2 years relevant experience, Master's degree and 1 year of relevant experience, a PhD, or 10 years of relevant experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Master s degree in Engineering Management or other Business Analyst degree.

* Proven ability in translating text-based processes into Universal Process Notation using Visio software. Experience in mapping and optimizing processes.

* Knowledgeable and proficient in the operation of personal computers and basic software applications (i.e. Microsoft Word and Excel). Ability to learn new software in a timely manner.
