OPPORTUNITY SNAPSHOT
We have a direct hire, full time, permanent opening for an experienced Polisher in our Delavan plant. This is an opportunity to work 2nd shift from 3pm-11pm M -F. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Polisher will work to specifications to procedure line instructions on fittings and pumps. You will expand your skill set by supporting diverse polishing projects and work with cross-functional teams. Additionally, you will:
* Set up I.D. or O.D. polishing lathes or hand grinding equipment to run a specified task.
* Inspect work for any defects in polish areas such as pits, cracks, or poor weld quality. Have the part repaired as necessary to conform to specifications.
* Repair any welding or material flaws detected by welding or inspection.
* Enter labor time and piece counts on the computer for accurate labor recording.
* Deburr as necessary any threaded or non-rounded machined parts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
It's important pays close attention to detail and has good eye/hand coordination. Also important, is the ability to prioritize assignments with a positive attitude in a collaborative environment. Ideally, you must be able to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
* 2 years of experience as a Polisher (I.D. and/or O.D.)
Preferred:
* Technical degree and/or certifications
* Blueprint reading and experience with stainless steel

The Polisher will work in an environment that can be hot and dirty at times, with dust particles in the air. Physical demands will include the capability of moving and lifting 40 lbs.
