UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) continuously seeks applicants that are interested and available to work in Pharmacy Technician roles on temporary assignments at the UC Irvine campus in Irvine, the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange and UCI satellite clinics. We recruit for this position on an on-going basis in order to build a talent pool of potential candidates.

Essential Job Functions:

Under the general supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician III assists in all technical aspects of prescription filling and dispensing activities that are within the scope of their license under the California Board of Pharmacy. Duties include processing, filling and dispensing prescriptions, data entry of medications and prescriptions, understanding of UC SHIP insurance benefits (formulary, alternatives, etc.) as well as inventory management.

Compensation Range:

$27.53 hr.

Required:

Pharmacy Technician License under CA Board of Pharmacy

Preferred:

Knowledge of Pharmacy Terminology and Calculations

Knowledge of Pharmacy Reporting

Knowledge of Generic and brand Names of Drugs

The majority of our temporary positions are Monday Friday, 8:00a.m. 5:00p.m., however, we also have occasional part-time, weekend and evening hours available. Comprehensive benefits options are also available for temporary employees, including paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave.

Some temporary assignments may require clearance of health physical or require a valid California Driver s License for driving university vehicles.
