Overview:

Responsible to perform procedures and patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse; provides support services for the Emergency Department (cleaning, stocking, ordering);
provides patient transport; performs phlebotomy, EKG's, and splinting of broken extremities: Performs multi-skilled patient care actions and services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. May implement BLS. Follows the Medical Center's pain policies and the Patient Safety/Risk Management program. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

* Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

* Graduate of one of the following: Basic/ EMT course, CNA course, Medical Assistant, or successful completion of one semester of Registered Nursing School.

* Experience: Phlebotomy experience preferred.
