#106903 FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE - MEDICINE FOR SENIORS

DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision of the Clinic Manager, front desk associate: oversees, coordinates and performs general front office functions, to include, but not limited to: reception, scheduling, and processing of patients. Directs workflow in the front office and provides work direction to other staff working in that area. Oversees cashiering process. Responsible for customer service, registration, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification. Other related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

*

Three (3) years of front desk/customer service experience with at least one (1) year in a complex healthcare setting.
*

Previous work in customer service-customer/patient facing situations. Ability to work in an interactive environment. Possess excellent customer service skills both in person and over phone.
*

Ability to navigate delicate situations with the senior population and their families with emotional intelligence and understanding.
*

Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
*

Demonstrated knowledge of third party payors including federal, state, and private health plans.
*

Proficient computer skills and ability to work between multiple systems during calls.
*

Strong organizational skills with ability to set priorities, handle deadlines and manage conflicting demands with limited supervision. Be able to maintain strict confidentiality with experience applying good judgment and discretion.
*

Possess the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.
*

Schedule management- for all providers. Proven ability to balance clinic objectives with patients needs in ensuring access for patients by determining appointment availability.
*

Working knowledge of the varying types of visits offered both in person and tele-health along with knowledge of varying tele health platforms and ability to educate and explain varied processes to patients.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* EPIC, ORSOS, PCIS, and IDX experience.

* Experience working with Senior population.

* Prior float team experience is desirable

* Bilingual- Spanish speaking is a plus.

* Work with authorizations/ referrals.

* Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
