Overview
Seattle Children's Therapeutics (SCTx) at Seattle Children's Research Institute (SCRI) seeks to develop innovative new cellular therapies and translate these advances to groundbreaking clinical trials for children with the most aggressive forms of cancer. The Department's long-term mission is to eventually replace cancer therapies such as radiation and chemotherapy with \\"smart\\" therapies capable of eliminating cancer with precision, leaving the body unharmed.

This is an opportunity for a Supervisor to join the Correlative Studies Laboratory (CSL). The CSL role is to do exploratory analysis of clinical trial specimens to test for CAR T-cell persistence and to provide feedback on treatment efficacy to our manufacturing and research groups. Responsibilities for the Supervisor position will include the supervision of the research group personnel including hiring, training, performance review, general laboratory upkeep, and maintaining a constructive laboratory environment. The Supervisor will also be expected to assist the CSL Manager in the preparation of annual clinical and research budgets and track research expenditures. The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication, strong organizational skills, careful attention to detail, highly organized in data presentation and record keeping, integrity, credibility, and a positive attitude in daily performance. This position will be expected to participate in weekly group meetings and maintain research records according to GLP regulations.

Requirements
- Master's degree in in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, or other related field and 3 years of supervisory experience, or PhD or MD.
- Minimum of three years experience in required field of specialization.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in acting as lead or team lead for lab. Strong understanding of laboratory operations and organization.
- Significant experience with flow cytometry assays and related equipment.

Preferred:
- Experience in translational research.
- Experience with managing a lab using Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guidelines.
- Experience with all routine cellular and molecular experimental procedures.
- Experience with statistics and relevant computer programs.
- Experience writing and editing manuscripts and grants.
- Experience managing projects/programs in a complex environment.
