As the Junior Data Center Technician for the BGIS clients located in Las Vegas, NV you will support state of the art server technology in a data center facility. Your clients will include Global Fortune 500 IT companies.

7a to 4p Monday thru Friday

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for component troubleshooting and replacement, component installation, configuration management on gear, and remediation on any heating, cooling, or power alarms as assigned by the site supervisor or lead

- Perform hardware installations, moves, and removals

- Ensure environmental organizations and cleanliness at all times

- Provide all services as part of the 24/7 on-call rotation

- Audit various attributes of assets as they are installed

- Work directly with fellow technicians to perform any technical or hands-on support as needed to ensure the success of the site

- Conducts regular walks through Data Center during the day assessing systems for health alerts

- Completes physical installation and power-up (Rack & Stack) of servers, peripherals, and network equipment (under supervision of mentor)

- Completes assigned and scheduled tasks in a timely manner in accordance with customer deadlines

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 1 year of experience with IT and networking systems, in a technical or operations capacity or equivalent work experience

- Show a basic understanding of network hardware equipment and TCP/IP networking principles

- Experience with a ticketing system (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) preferred

- Industry-related technology certifications CompTIA (e.g. A+, Network +, Server +)

- Experience working in a team environment to provide support and excellent customer service
