POSITION PROFILE

Current Global is looking for a Vice President - Client Experience to join our corporate team with specific expertise in DEI communications. The ideal candidate will possess experience advising companies on communications that build and drive organizations' DEI strategies and cultures. This position will consult with clients across the consumer, health and technology industries to develop strategic, culturally relevant communications initiatives that establish strong and lasting partnerships with diverse audiences internally and externally. As part of our corporate offering, this new position will combine strategic communications expertise with a deep understanding of the DEI landscape, including key constituencies and issues, as well as barriers and opportunities for engagement. This position also will play a leadership role in our own DEI initiatives to ensure an inclusive culture at Current Global.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Drive development of client plans, programs and pitches related to DEI communications, effectively engaging increasingly diverse audiences and stakeholders

- Create the case for the critical impact that DEI practices and approaches have on corporate reputation

- Build, nurture and expand client relationships, serving as a trusted resource and advisorin helping clients advance their commitment to DEI internally and externally, communicate around complex social issues, and mitigate risk

- Proactively support and suggest improvements and new ideas to exceed client expectations by leveraging industry and subject matter expertise

- Oversee integrated teams working on DEI programming to ensure client objectives are met

- Contribute to the career growth of junior team members, serving as a mentor and role model

- Serve a leadership role on the agency's DEI committee and internal efforts

- Actively participate in agency development and assist with new business

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

- 8+ years of relevant reputation building and corporate communications experience, ideally with both agency and in-house experience

- Significant experience providing thought leadership and counsel to senior management

- Experience working with integrated teams on integrated marketing campaigns

- Some experience with issues/crisis management

- Confident presenter and persuasive speaker

- Financial acumen in the areas of budgeting, billing and staffing

- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability to translate client needs into workable plans/projects

- Strong decision-making skills

- People management and development

- Experience with clients and accounts that are measurement and evaluation driven

- Strong presentation skills, poise and professionalism

- Resourceful, entrepreneurial and inclusive
