Schoeneck Containers in Delevan, WI is looking for a Machine Technician - Nights for a 7:00 pm - 7:00 am opportunity.
Responsibilities:
The Machine Technician operates blow-molding, injection molding and other support auxiliary equipment to ensure containers are produced within customer specification. The Machine Technician also performs routine and reactive equipment maintenance to increase productivity and support the organization by servicing its growing customer base.
Perform daily preventative maintenance on both the molders and support auxiliary equipment.
Conduct daily equipment safety assessments in the RedZone system to highlight any unsafe equipment or working conditions that need to be resolved quickly.
Independently perform machine adjustments, minor to intermediate equipment repairs, and perform routine scheduled daily and weekly maintenance tasks
Adhere to customer specifications and accurately document all records related to downtime, production, scrap, repairs, and process deviations in the RedZone system.
Monitor consistent resin material flow by changing Railcar compartments to ensure the molding equipment is consistently replenished with resin material.
Aid in equipment changeovers and process start ups to increase machine uptime and plant efficiency.
Elevate intricate machine issues to the Maintenance team in a detailed and professional manner.
Support the team atmosphere by sharing learned knowledge to be a technical mentor and resource for other teammates and new hires
Assist in identifying non-conforming product and the re-work of non-conforming product as necessary
Follow all safety procedures and policies to maintain clean equipment and work areas in our active, fast-paced, team environment
Communicate operation specific information verbally and or through the RedZone written communication forums to Technical Leaders, Operations coaches, and team members in a positive manner
Conduct Quality verification checks to ensure product produced with within quality standards.
Engage in cross-shift equipment and operations information communication hand-offs amongst peers to ensure process consistency and shared knowledge.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned and contributing to process improvements
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent reading, writing, basic math, and critical thinking skills
Must be 18 years or older
At least 1 year of technical processing, maintenance, or production equipment operation experience
Intricate understanding of how Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems and equipment function
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and high level of comfort operating press machinery.
Capable of working independently, self-sufficiently, and productively with little supervision
Forklift operation experience preferred
Eager to support fellow members in keeping the facility and its equipment clean, neat, and well-maintained
Familiarity with basic computer functions and Microsoft office applications
Experience using Apple iPad devices and applications preferred
Must be able to provide own basic set of tools
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and lift/carry up to 30 pounds
Must be able to use fingers, hands, and arms for regular tasks
Must be able to wear proper PPE and perform in temperatures ranging from 60̊ to 110̊ Fahrenheit
Must be able to climb steps, have good hand-eye coordination, and bend/squat
Must be able to visually detect defects, depth, colors, variances, and see objects as real
