Operate forklift and/or overhead crane
Identify and/or tag materials or products for movement or loading within plant
Move or load product using forklift and/or crane including large structures, poles, pallets and crates
Complete required paperwork
Operate equipment and machinery in a safe, secure, and productive manner
Check for damage or defect of product during plant process
Make recommendations to resolve any damage or defects found in products
Wear required personal protective equipment and follow facility safety regulations
Maintain a safe and productive working environment
What it takes
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum one year of previous experience operating large forklifts and/or overhead cranes
Minimum one year of previous experience in a manufacturing environment
The ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions
The ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions
The ability to calculate simple mathematics and accurately read a tape measure
The ability to be a team player, assisting in other areas/in other ways as needed
The ability to lift 50 lbs, stoop, squat, push, pull, walk, reach, bend, grasp, hold and stand for various periods of time
The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
The ability to work in a team environment with a diverse group of people
Must have a high awareness for safety at all times
Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
Highly qualified candidates will also possess:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
The ability to operate forklifts of various sizes and types ranging from 5,000 to 30,000 lb capacity
3 or more years of previous experience operating large forklifts and overhead cranes
3 or more years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment
The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues
The ability to establish priorities and reorder priorities when necessary
The ability to inspect, spot, and report damage to maintain a quality product
The ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
