The position of Strategic Nursing Advisor provides support and strategic direction across the product, sales, service, and marketing teams to ensure that nursing industry trends are understood and incorporated.  This position directs activities of the Applied Research Council and serves as a co- primary investigator on designated product research.  This position participates in identifying speakers and designing the agenda for the ATI Summit.  This position provides presentations, and assists with the development of partnerships, publications, and products to meet industry needs.  


Responsibilities & Duties



  • Serve as an expert in the nursing education community.

  • Assist the product team in defining product strategy, product roadmaps, product specifications; soliciting customer and stakeholder feedback on concepts and prototypes; ensuring that product scope and vision is delivered per specifications; and the communication, training, and marketing of new products.

  • Lead and direct activities of the Applied Research Team.

  • Serve as a co-primary investigator on product research.

  • Participate in creation of the agenda and poster session for the ATI National Nurse Educator Summit.

  • Build and maintain quality relationships with strategic industry partners including but not limited to EducatingNurses.com, Sigma Theta Tau International, State Boards of Nursing, professional organizations, and accrediting bodies.

  • Create and present presentations for groups at ATI as well as clients and professional organizations.

Education & Experience



  • Doctoral degree in nursing or education

  • Current Registered Nurse license

  • Certified Nurse Educator is preferred

  • A minimum of five to eight years of experience teaching in an academic nursing setting.

  • Experience in nursing education using ATI resources is strongly preferred.

Skills & Abilities



  • Current knowledge of issues and trends in nursing practice and nursing education.

  • Ability to productively work independently from a remote setting.

  • High-level presentation skills and comfort with public speaking.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to incorporate principles of adult learning while working with nursing faculty.

  • Proficient in summarizing information and providing detailed instruction.

  • Collaborate with a variety of individuals to deliver quality services, promote client satisfaction, and secure new business.

  • High level of accountability to team and clients.

  • Technologically competent with PowerPoint, Zoom, MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat and the internet.

  • Organize multiple tasks and succeed in a competitive environment.

  • Flexible and highly adaptable to a non-traditional role of nurse educator in the business environment.

  • Travel as needed for success in the role.
