Environmental Compliance Specialist (Field Based) at ERM Group in Scottsdale, Arizona

Job Description:

ERM is hiring an Environmental Compliance Specialist in Superior, AZ to assist an essential ERM Client in the Mining Industry. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring environmental compliance with applicable regulations and existing company standards and contributing to an environment where employee health and safety is preserved. This is a fixed-term field based opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect soil, groundwater, surface water and air samples for environmental analysis


• Prepare monitoring reports


• Attend client meetings as needed


• Provide general environmental compliance support to clients, including on-site assistance as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS in environmental science, engineering, or related discipline.


• Current MSHA certification required


• 3+ years of experience in environmental compliance, preferably in Arizona


• Experience working with Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ)


• Familiarity with ADEQ’s environmental compliance programs in air, surface water, groundwater, etc.


• Experience working with mining clients and on mine sites


• Experience collecting soil, groundwater, surface water, and air samples for environmental analysis


• Experience preparing monitoring reports
