Responsibilities

Responsible for the procurement and delivery of raw wood materials to operating facilities to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality resources at a competitive price to meet business objectives. Coordinate and direct all phases of logging/ harvesting/delivery of raw wood materials from fee, private, federal, and state lands. These activities include the safe, cost-efficient, and environmentally sensitive management of all logging/harvesting processes on fee, private, federal, and state lands. Supervises activities of contractors. Responsible for implementing the Company's policies, procedures, and management actions to ensure compliance with Sustainable Forestry Management, third party certification programs (SFI, FSC, & PEFC) and Chain-of-Custody system certification requirements. Responsible for the communication of the Company's SFI commitment and promotion of the practice of sustainable forestry to employees, wood producers, and suppliers.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications : College Degree, or equivalent work experience in related job function.

Preferred Qualifications : Prefer a degree in forest management or related field and more than 3 years demonstrated experience in logging, forestry, or other relevant experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective technical, organization, management, and strong interpersonal/leadership skills, as well as understand responsibilities for environmental compliance and management.
