Kawneer is part of Arconic's global Building and Construction Systems (BCS) business unit, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East
The primary responsibility of the Procurement Operations Manager is to achieve the best total cost position for all external spend of the respective Business Unit (BU) plant including, the lowest sourcing risks, best supplier performances and ensuring highest efficiency and effectiveness of the BU Plant Procurement team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
This role ensures the optimal collaboration of BU Plant Procurement with BU Procurement Engineering as well as with Global Category Management and Regional Procurement to achieve best procurement results
This role is directly responsible the BU Plant Procurement targets
Responsible for the relevant Plant Procurement Operations function
Leads BU Strategic Buyers
Works in close conjunction and alignment with BU Procurement Engineers
Shares savings targets with Category Management, Procurement Engineering, on Plant-specific spends
Monitors and controls BU plant procurement target achievement and initiates counter measures if necessary
Communicates supplier issues to BU Procurement Operations Director and Category Management
Participate in supplier meetings jointly with Category Lead if relevant for the Plant.
Role will be responsible for managing assigned category spend across BCS locations when requested
Position Focus:
Ensuring security of supply for the manufacturing facility while optimizing the overall cost position for the site
Developing a Sourcing road map and contract execution plan for the site to effectively manner spend
Streamline existing processes to increase automation, reduce manual administrative workload, and focus the team on value add activities.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Procurement, Finance, or Supply Chain in a manufacturing Environment
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Supervisory/Management role

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or Finance from an accredited institution.
