Positions available for RN or LPN:

Full Time 1st shift Assisted Living (combination of 6 and 12 hour shifts)

Full Time 7a-7p Long Term care  

Part Time 7p-7a 2 days a week, no weekends Short Term Rehab

Part Time 3p-11p every Tuesday and Thursday Long Term Care

Part Time 3p-11p every Friday, 7p-11p every Saturday and Sunday Long Term Care

PRN 1st shift Long Term Care

PRN 3rd shift Long Term Care

Looking for an RN or LPN to direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day to day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistants.  Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility and as may be required by the Long Term Care Nurse Manager, DON and/or ADON to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.  To provide and model high levels of customer service to residents, family members and co-workers.

Job Responsibilities of an RN or LPN:


  • Supporting the philosophy of the organization

  • Ensuring that safety and sanitation standards are maintained in residents’ rooms and all work areas

  • Preparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with the facility’s policies and procedures.

  • Participating in orientation of new staff to the unit

  • Consulting with the resident’s physician in providing the resident’s cares, treatments, rehabilitation, etc.

  • Notifying the resident’s physician and next of kin when there is an incident involving the resident or a change in the resident’s condition.

  • Administering professional services within the scope of nursing practice as catheterization, suction, applying and changing dressings, packs, and such other professional services as required and ordered

  • Following organizational policies and procedures when providing nursing care

  • Obtaining specimens for lab testing as ordered

  • Monitoring seriously ill residents as necessary

  • Ensuring that personnel providing direct care to residents are providing such care in accordance with the resident’s care plan and wish

  • Supervising and reviewing the performance of all assigned STNA staff providing care to residents

  • Receiving and transcribing physician’s orders in accordance with facility procedures

  • Completing all necessary charting as required and in accordance with established charting and documentation policies and procedures.  

  • Promotes customer service and hospitality and responds to and adequately resolves complaints or concerns from residents or families about nursing services.

Job Qualifications:
 


  • Must possess, as a minimum, a nursing degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate from an approved LPN program

  • Must possess a current, active license to practice as an RN or LPN in Ohio.

  • Current CPR certification.

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.

  • Possesses the ability to deal tactfully and in accordance with Anna Maria of Aurora’s Code of Conduct with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public.

  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care.

  • Leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.

  • Displays a patient, tactful, cheerful and enthusiastic disposition, as well as a willingness to handle difficult situations.

  • High level of customer service/relationship building skills to enable positive communication with residents, family members and co-workers.

  • Willingness to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.

  • Willing to engage in additional training and education.
